About Us

World Science Movement is a social responsibility project initiated by Young Guru Academy and backed by the UK-based startup Twin Science & Robotics that aims to spread the joy of science to all children around the world.

Through World Science Movement, we raise and nurture future STEM talents by bringing the latest technology to children in the most disadvantaged echelons of society.

Why World Science Movement?

  • Disparities in education make it challenging for people to climb out of the cycle of poverty and yet there are millions of kids who still do not have access to quality science education. We believe that for a society to thrive, no curious mind should be left behind.
  • Eliminating inequality in education all around the world should be one of the priorities for the sustainable development of disadvantaged communities. If we can ensure that children have access to science and technology at an early age today, they will be more likely to play a huge role in the progression of their home countries when they grow up.

With support from the World Science Movement, children can become the self-confident and innovative professionals of the future.

The Scope of the Project

We send our Educational Packs to disadvantaged schools within the scope of this programme.

Our Educational Pack consists of Twin Kits, Twin App, and our unique curricula (aligned with 21st century skills and the Sustainable Development Goals).

We train a network of volunteers to sustainably enhance educators’ teaching methods so they understand how the STEM kits work and can easily integrate them into their lesson plans.

After we train selected trainers to enhance their teaching methods, they teach their students by using the Educational Pack in their classes.

Educators that have received science kits also have access to a platform provided by Facebook Workplace in which they have access to rich STEM content, examples of in-class use of the science kits, and a platform through which they communicate with each other.

Within its scope, the project aims to deliver STEM education to 30 million children worldwide within a period of three years.
